Successful Travel Consultants must have a strong sales drive, organizational skills with an eye for detail, ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrated proficiency in navigating computers and various programs, and possess good written and oral communication skills and a desire for continuous learning.

• Sells international and domestic travel packages, including cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel bookings.
• Shares knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and/or educational study trips.
• Builds long‑standing relationships with members and fosters referral and repeat business.
• Recommends tailored travel solutions to exceed member expectations.
• Cross‑sells relevant products such as the AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity‑theft protection.

• High school diploma required; 2‑ or 4‑year college degree preferred.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check and urine drug screening.
• At least two years of retail sales, banking, or leisure travel agency experience in a goal‑oriented environment preferred.

• Travel is more than a hobby; it is your passion.
• Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings.
• Completion of the Travel Consultant Trainee program, which includes travel for training.
• Drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Computer savvy with multi‑system navigation, Microsoft Office skills, and typing at least 30 WPM.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort handling paperwork.
