Summary ofJob Duties
The Department of Neurology is seeking a post‑doctoral research fellow for a one‑year fixed term. The fellow will also help supervise and provide training (e.g. standard operating procedures, statistical training, safety, etc.) to other members of the lab such as graduate students, residents and medical students. The postdoctoral fellow must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD), and a track record of productivity with peer‑reviewed publications.
Qualifications- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD) in medicine, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, physiology, molecular biology or related field.
- Conduct research activities with minimal supervision under the direction of the Principal Investigator and/or collaborating researchers.
- Develop, refine, and troubleshoot research protocols and experimental methods.
- Collect scientific background information for ongoing and future studies and grant projects.
- Maintain detailed and accurate research records, including experimental data and images.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain required safety training.
- Maintain documentation for research equipment, including usage records, service contracts, and scheduled maintenance.
- Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of grant proposals, amendments, and regulatory submissions.
- Participate in sponsor and regulatory site visits related to research documentation and procedures.
- Attend required seminars, trainings, and meetings as directed by the Principal Investigator or supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
