**** Grounds Keeper
** We are hiring immediately for a Grounds Keeper position at our North Little Rock, AR location. If your background includes ground maintenance, gardening, landscaping, and irrigation work, or related experience, please apply!
** GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
** Performs ground maintenance, gardening, landscaping, and irrigation work, ensuring company owned properties keep an aesthetically-pleasing, healthy, and safe outdoor space. Operates and maintains a wide variety of commercial mowers, trimmers, tractors, tools and other equipment associated with a grounds maintenance program.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
** 1. Effectively completes work assignments; mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, clearing fence rows, landscaping projects, trash pickup, snow removal, pressure washing, and other duties related to a ground maintenance program.
2. Operates small equipment i.e. commercial zero turn mowers, push mowers, small farm tractors, bush hogs, weed eaters, trimmers, chainsaws, brush saw, and other small equipment related to a ground maintenance program.
3. Participates in the seasonal planting, i.e. sod, flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and spreading mulch. Assist with maintaining flowerbeds, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, and mulching.
4. Immediately report any deficiencies discovered with the campus, buildings and/or equipment to supervisor.
5. Routinely cleans, inspects and/or maintains water features, bioswales, drainage systems, sump pumps, spill gates, retention & detention ponds. Routinely clean, repair, service and maintain ground maintenance equipment.
6. Help prepare campus for special events; occasionally assisting with minor janitorial & building maintenance duties.
7. Attends monthly safety meetings, ensuring current safety policies, procedures and PPE requirements are being followed. Ensures company confidentiality.# ##

** WORKING CONDITIONS
** Shop environment where continuously exposed to several elements such as, noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. Also, may have exposure at times to the outside weather elements.

** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
** Prefer High school or GED PLUS additional education in a specialized field (vocational trade school, two-year college, etc.) plus 0 – 6 months related experience and/or training and no previous management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
