Uses increased knowledge, skills, and experience to understand situations holistically and plans and adjusts accordingly. Quickly recognizes variations from the anticipated course, thinks critically, modifies plans, makes appropriate decisions, recognizes salient patient care issues, and focuses on long term goals.

The rn iii staffing team is a member of the nurse resource pool and has a broader scope with the ability to work in multiple areas within the hospital.

Description

1. Demonstrates and promotes excellence in the application of the ac model of patient and family-centered care. Collaborates and role models partnerships with patients, families and other providers to plan, deliver, and evaluate highly individualized care that ensures achievement of effective self-care by patients and families. Consistently plans and delivers high quality, comprehensive and holistic care for increasing complex patient situations.

Anticipates needs across the care continuum for patients and families and acts as a resource to others in doing the same.

2. Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a proficient level. Role models and promotes practice which is current and consistently in accordance with policies and procedures, professional practice standards, state practice act/rules and regulations.
