Summary of
Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care as an RN. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate patient care, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with the individual patient, their family, and care providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
* Valid RN License
* Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* ER or ICU experience
* Current BLS
* ACLS certification (or obtain certification within one year of starting in this role)
* PALS certification (or obtain certification within one year of starting in this role)
* TNCC certification (or obtain certification within one year of starting in this role)
Additional Information:
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Responsibilities:
* Collects and documents assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard.
* Develops patient's Plan of Care (POC) per department/unit standards utilizing assessment data.
* Evaluates the progress of patients toward attainment of desired outcomes.
* Administers medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act.
* Verifies and evaluates care delivered to ensure it is consistent with patient and family centered care principles, practice standards and regulatory requirements.
* Supports the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
