Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

• Provide care in a Pediatric CVICU setting for neonatal to adult patient population.
• Perform procedures and diagnostics described for cardiac ICU patients (see unit details for scope).
• Collaborate with ICU team to manage patients with congenital heart defects, heart failure, cardiac transplant, dysrhythmias, and related conditions.
• Utilize unit equipment and systems (Pyxis, barcode scanning, GE, Servo, ECMO) as part of daily operations.
• Support nursing and ancillary staff (CNA/PCT) as needed; typical nurse/patient ratios are 1:1 in ICU and 1:2-3 in Intermediate areas.
• Floating to additional units within the ICU cluster as required by staffing; travelers are prioritized for floating.
• Adhere to shift, scheduling, and holiday requirements as determined by management.

• Must have an Arkansas license or compact license (required for submission).
• Minimum 36 months of RN experience with some in the last 12 months.
• At least 12 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience.
• 3 months of travel experience required; any amount of months is acceptable.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• Experience with Pyxis is preferred.
• Must have 1 year PEDS CV and 1 year Adult CV or 2+ years combined in PEDS/Adult CV.
• Floating required within the ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU); travelers are first to float.

• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ECMO certifications required.
• RN license: AR;

• Flu vaccination required for submission (declinations not accepted).

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is a 359-bed, trauma 1, teaching hospital. NICU/PICU floating rules apply; travel nurses are prioritized for floating.
