Unit OverviewUAMS Labor and Delivery service line is seeking highly skilled nurses to support our Magnet‑recognized unit, which is a premier referral center for high‑acuity and high‑risk cases across Arkansas.
- 300+ deliveries per month
- 14 dedicated labor rooms
- 3 state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms for obstetrics
- 3‑bed Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- 4‑bed triage area with intake/assessment room

- Collect and document assessment data
- Develop and implement a Plan of Care (POC) per standard protocols
- EVALUATE patient progress toward desired outcomes
- Provide patient/family education and discharge planning
- Administer medication per standard, including drug information to patients/families
- Act as a resource and support others; deliver patient care using the principles of the defined nursing modality
- Delegate care based on UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements, specific job description, and individual level of education and training
- Contribute to a positive work environment that fosters clinical education and supports student nurses and staff

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree, nursing diploma, bachelor's, or master's in nursing
- Valid RN license
- At least 1 year of registered nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic and accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of nursing experience with current BLS certification
- Previous experience in labor & delivery
- Medical, dental, and vision plans for qualifying staff and family
