Description

We are looking for a registered Nurse that can be a team player in a busy Cardiology Clinic. Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a clinic setting. The Nurse will provide clinical and administrative expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. Must access patients, obtain medical history, complete lab and x‑ray request, keep charts current, and screen calls within physician guidelines.

Applicant should possess a caring and professional attitude, have excellent computer skills, and be able to multi‑task. Experience with Holters, EKG’s and Stress Test preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Record health history of patient and note abnormal conditions for physician.
  • Instruct patients on collection of any necessary samples and tests.
  • Obtain vital signs and escort patients to rooms.
  • Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
  • Ensure that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Arrange referrals to a specialist and obtain pre‑authorizations when directed to by the provider.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and Phlebotomy.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
  • Notify patients of test results and follow‑up appointments.
  • Instruct patient and family regarding medications, treatments, and follow‑up instructions.
  • Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients.
  • Control inventory and monitor the use of supplies.
  • Maintain up to date stock and monitor and maintain medical equipment.
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls for physician. Triaging patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
Qualifications
  • A degree from an accredited school of nursing is required. Must be certified in the state of Arkansas and possess a current Arkansas License.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of clinical experience, along with Lab, EKG, and X‑ray experience.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
