The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) encourages teamwork and diversity. The Orthopedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH) at UAMS Health offers a dynamic environment for Registered Nurses.

Shift varies, but the RN will primarily work nights.

Registered Nurses provide direct patient care, coordinate care, triage patients, and collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. The RN works with patients, families, and providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
• Valid Registered Nursing License.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong work ethics and accountability.
• BLS Current.
• Preferred: ACLS certification, Scrubbing experience, Orthopedic experience, EPIC experience.

• Provides nursing care within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas.
• Adheres to UAMS, ANA, and specialty patient standards.
• Collects and documents assessment data.
• Develops a Plan of Care per standard.
• Implements Plan of Care, including medical orders and interdisciplinary approach.
• Evaluates patient progress toward desired outcomes.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Administers medication per standard.
• Acts as a resource/supports others.
• Delivers patient care using defined nursing modality.
• Delegates care based on TOSH-UAMS standards.
• Contributes to a positive work environment and serves as a resource for student nurses and staff.
• Performs any other duties assigned.
