Forklift Operator

Overview

Responsibilities and requirements for the Loader/Production Associate role as described by the original listing.

• Ability to multi task keeping job production flowing throughout the store and production area at all times.
• Ensure work area is a safe environment at all times.
• Carry out verbal and written material tasks under minimal supervision.
• Perform daily inspections on loader.
• Staging vehicles, including transporting the vehicles to and from the staging area.
• Transport vehicles to and from the drain shop.
• Check fluids twice daily to ensure proper operation.
• Use forklift or skid steer while observing all safety regulations.
• Assists in maintaining a safe production/store environment for employees and customers.
• Ensure an environmentally safe environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge and experience in the Auto Dismantling Industry.
• Prior experience in operating a Loader or similar equipment is a plus.

• Sitting, walking, bending, and stretching regularly to perform job function, production, and environmental/safety responsibilities.
• Able to sit for 6-8 hours per day in two-hour intervals.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision sufficient to perform job functions as described above.
• Good eye-hand coordination and good motor skills.

• Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.
• Periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards.

• Must attend retraining classes annually that meet company standards and expectations.
• Must successfully complete the Chemical Hazards Training program.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities.
• Perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Be able to work flexible shifts and schedules.
• Use proper safety equipment and safety procedures.
