The Director of the Physical Plant is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the university's buildings and infrastructure, with the primary responsibilities being the university's residential living facilities and general supervision, providing direction for maintenance supervision with field participation. The Physical Plant Director will oversee systems and a preventative maintenance schedule.
Responsibilities- Knowledge of computerized maintenance systems.
- Knowledge in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
- Knowledge in Project Management.
- Basic knowledge in most areas of maintenance.
- Knowledge of operating HVAC computer.
- Microsoft Office suits.
- Aanalytical reports and data, and make recommendations for improving campus.
- Experience with inspections, i.e., boiler, elevators, and fire prevention.
- Experience with OSHA safety and health, EPA regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3 years in an educational system with management experience.
- 5 years experience in a Physical Plant operation may be substituted for a degree.
