Summary:
General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of critical task including troubleshooting and repair multiple building/facilities items including, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic tube system, hospital beds and nurse call systems. Ensuring completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks and coordinating specific craft activities with other Facilities Management team members.
Other information:
- Education - High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- Technical Certifications EPA Universal HVAC Certificate, Medical Gas Installer, Low Voltage certification or similar certification.
- Experience - Four (4) years experience in building/facilities maintenance.
- Experience - General maintenance repairs, familiar with safety procedures and trained in safe operation of building maintenance equipment and the handling of related chemicals, such as solvents/degreasers.
- Coordination of repairs/work in departments, report status to involved parties.
- Trouble-Shooting and Repairing - Determine root causes of operating errors and repair facilities equipment or systems using necessary tools.
- Ability to provide legible, detailed and accurate information on work orders/preventative maintenance forms.
- Completes maintenance task, facility preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Maintains facility areas including patient rooms and common areas.
- Maintains records, updates CMMS documentation, required maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, PM logs.
- Report to supervisor on a regular basis (daily) on conditions relative to general operations, safety and day to day activities in the facility.
- Attends daily huddles with team during shift.
This job will be authorized
80.00 hours bi-weekly.
