Summary ofJob Duties
This position works closely with various laboratory animal specimens. The Animal Care Technician (ACT) is an entry-level, hands-on role that supports both animal welfare and critical research efforts on campus. In this position, you’ll provide daily care and husbandry for a variety of animal species, conduct routine health observations, and maintain clean, safe living environments. ACTs also support facility operations by processing caging and equipment, operating automated cage wash systems and sterilizers, and receiving and transporting animal feed and bedding.
Working closely with investigators, you’ll assist with animal-related procedures and play an important role in keeping research studies running smoothly.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED plus one (1) year of experience in a research environment, veterinary clinic, or related field required.
