Summary of

Job Duties:

This posting will cover various shifts and schedules. The APRN will extend the patient care and administrative services for UAMS physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the Cancer Institute Outpatient Clinic. The APRN will be expected to provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, perform procedures, and prescribe medicines and treatments. The APRN will also manage health issues for patients, independently or in collaboration with the designated physicians.

The APRN will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patient’s health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The APRN will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
:

• Master’s Degree in nursing PLUS 2 years nursing experience, Acute Care APRN (or) Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License (or) Licensed Registered Physician Assistant (PA).
