required certifications1 of the following certifications is required:
- licensed respiratory care practitioner (lrcp): (ar) – arkansas state medical board
- registered polysomnographic technologist (rpsgt) – board of registered polysomnographic technologists (brpt)
- registered respiratory therapist (rrt) – national board of respiratory care (nbrc)
- consistently provides and promotes safe and effective advanced patient care that addresses the age-specific variations related to clinical, educational, psychosocial and cultural needs.
- completes and assists with appropriate educational activities to maintain and increase competency, including all required hospital and departmental in-services, education, and training as assigned.
- facilitates and improves collaboration with other team members and departments in providing patient care across the continuum.
- maintains, creates, and promotes a clean and safe environment conducive to meeting customer needs and regulatory standards.
- provides feedback, reports, and initiates changes to improve patient care and/or the work environment. Promotes activities to improve quality of care.
- identifies and utilizes available standards, literature and research findings to guide evidence-based practice and provide leadership in patient care.
- performs other duties as assigned.
