Role Summary

The Area Therapy Advancement Manager (ATAM) in Med Tech Electrophysiology leads the area Therapy Advancement field team (RTAMs) within the Great Plains region, supporting multiple states. The ATAM develops and oversees the execution of EP marketing strategies, aligns with US Commercial Marketing and Field Sales, and partners with Professional Education, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), and Strategic Customer Group (SCG) to expand patient access to therapies including cardiac ablation.

The role requires building a high-performance team, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance while advancing awareness of AFib and related treatment options.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop Regional Therapy Advancement Team:
    Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the Therapy Advancement team, including performance management, succession planning, and development planning. Coach and directly manage RTAM performance, collaborating with their management to ensure consistent execution and growth.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment and Business Planning:
    Identify priority accounts and align objectives with the Area VP and National Therapy Advancement Manager to execute plans that enable patient treatment. Develop business-critical commercial goals for the team, ensure accountability, and provide leadership to meet and exceed objectives. Serve as a member of the sales area leadership team to influence strategy and decision-making.
  • Advocate for Electrophysiology Programs:
    Engage health system administration and hospital leadership to gain alignment on projects and advocate for programs that accelerate access to care and improve patient outcomes. Promote and maximize the use of resources developed by Commercial Marketing, Professional Education, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), and SCG.
  • Advance Awareness and Market Presence:
    Increase awareness of AFib and related treatment options among stakeholders. Connect physicians with marketing initiatives to strengthen relationships. Plan and execute national-level marketing projects and campaigns that expand market presence.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    Work with field sales teams to achieve objectives and ensure alignment on priorities. Maintain routine communication with RTAMs, sales leadership, and Med Tech EP leadership to drive execution and consistency.
  • Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence:
    Uphold Health Care Compliance rules, complete mandatory training, and manage administrative tasks within timelines.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Minimum of 8 years professional work experience and 4+ years of sales and marketing experience
  • Required:

    Previous experience in the medical device industry
  • Required:

    People leadership experience
  • Required:

    Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Required:

    Ability to build strong customer relationships with a consultative approach
  • Required:

    Expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships across an organization

  • Preferred:
    Prior sales and/or clinical experience in electrophysiology
  • Preferred:
    Prior sales and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas

    Master’s degree or equivalent
