What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments using hospital software while ensuring accurate patient information is maintained
  • Collaborate with physicians, financial teams, and care teams to ensure appropriate financial clearance and scheduling
  • Verify insurance details and explain benefits to patients
  • Perform visit notifications to patients and manage no-show letters and prep instructions for tests
  • Maintain the patient depot and snap board for endoscopy scheduling
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education plus seven years of experience in business office administration, customer service, or related fields, with three years in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with hospital scheduling software, specifically EPIC
  • Strong understanding of healthcare insurance verification processes
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
