Job Duties
Join the UAMS Arkansas Center for Women and Infant Health as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and make a meaningful impact during the critical postpartum period! In this vital role, you'll assess patient needs, offer personalized guidance, and connect mothers and families to essential medical care, community resources, and follow-up services to support their well‑being. You'll provide crucial psychosocial support, helping families navigate financial challenges, housing, transportation, food insecurity, and medication access.
Your expertise will assist with education, coping strategies, illness adjustment, grief and loss, crisis intervention, and mental health needs—both acute and chronic. Plus, you'll organize patient support groups and be a dedicated advocate within the healthcare system and community. This role requires occasional travel and offers a hybrid work environment.

Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Social Work
- Three (3) years of experience in Social Work
- Licensed Master Social Worker license
- Strong assessment and psychosocial support skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral systems.
- Experience in crisis intervention and mental health support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to advocate for patients within healthcare and community systems.
- Proficiency in organizing support groups and providing education.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Five (5) years of experience in Social Work
