What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Provide clerical and patient care support under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager and RN
  • Assist with processing medical records for patient admissions and discharges
  • Serve as a receptionist for the nursing unit, addressing patient and visitor inquiries
  • Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate patient care and report patient needs
  • Carry out the Plan of Care for patients using a multidisciplinary approach as directed by the Team Leader
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education
  • Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to Guest Care guidelines
  • Successful completion of UAMS Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) courses
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting or with inpatient care
  • Additional certifications related to patient care or behavioral health
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
