Overview
The primary function of the Patient Care Technician (PCT) is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT is an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary, along with excellent communication skills to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene; help ensure care is complete.
- Maintain compassionate care and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with the health care team to support patient wellness and satisfaction.
- 12 college-level credit hours that include English Composition with a grade of C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts will be verified upon application).
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Service industry experience preferred but not required.
- Education provided: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare.

Needed - Willingness to work flexible hours; good organization skills; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to learn and apply new healthcare-related skills; ability to communicate effectively and consistently; ability to collaborate with the health care team consistently; ability to engage people at the appropriate level for their wellness and cognition; ability to problem solve; ability to be proactive in anticipating the customer’s needs.
Details
This job will be authorized for 48.00 hours bi-weekly.
