Bridge Support Specialist (Transportation)
The Bridge Support Specialist serves as a patient advocate and liaison for all Bridge programming, including the support programs, educational workshops, and events. The specialist will take responsibility for a variety of administrative and program management duties, and administrative support. The goal will be to effectively facilitate The Bridge and its services according to the organizations standards.
JobSpecific Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets, screens, and direct patients, assuring they are queued as they arrive for services.
- Maintains schedule and communication regarding The Bridge workshops, classes, and support groups including social media, internal CARTI communication, and external email groups.
- Manage the communication of support programs and education workshops to those patients who RSVP via the registration link.
- Orders and provides refreshments and snacks for support groups and educational workshops.
- Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include accompanying patients to their destination within the clinic.>
- Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary including but not limited to answering the telephone to screen calls and take messages, schedule patients for counseling, massage, and other clinical support services as needed and provide information to patients and community members regarding The Bridge.
- Reports any housekeeping issues to the facilities manager.
- Manages office and clinical supplies with final authorization through the department manager.
- Assists in the care and maintenance of office equipment.
- Opens and properly distributes any unspecified mail/faxes.
- Maintains The Bridge front desk supplies, organization, and patient check‑in flow for all Bridge services including Financial Advocacy, Patient Navigation, Counseling, Massage, Palliative Care, Physical Therapy, and all other services provided.
- Manages The Bridge Conference Room Calendar and notifications along with maintaining setup and breakdown for classes and workshops as needed.
- Facilitates virtual sessions for The Bridge Programming.
- Provides reports as needed to account for attendance and clinic appointments at The Bridge.
- All other duties, as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory ResponsibilityNone
Education, Certification, Licensure, and Registration- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant administrative or customer service experience required; experience in a healthcare or patient‑facing setting preferred.
- A valid Arkansas Driver's license.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.
- Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies frequently, while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
