This position is responsible for coordinating internal efforts to gather/maintain complete and accurate information needed to prepare multiple hospitals cost reports internally for the healthcare system. The external auditors will review the cost reports, and this position will assess areas of recommendations for changes and reimbursement opportunities. Responsibilities also include reviewing the Medicare audit results for accuracy and seeking resolution of identified issues as well as implementing necessary changes internally into our processes and calculations.

Candidate required to stay knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations/policies as determined by Medicare/Medicaid, and identify and implement reimbursement improvement opportunities. Position also responsible for maintaining 340B program eligibility and supporting growth in the program. Responsibilities also include coordinating and submitting hospital and other related entities enrollment into the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Preparation of the monthly cost report settlement estimates for recording to the general ledger is a responsibility as well.

Special projects/tasks as designated by the Reimbursement Manager.

Other Information

Bachelor degree in a related field required. CPA (or equivalent) and/or Masters in Accountancy/Finance/Business or Healthcare Administration highly preferred. Cost report preparation experience with a public accounting firm or CMS Fiscal Intermediary strongly preferred. Experience in health care and 340B program is highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of Excel and computer software experience required. Effective communication skills and ability to multitask and work independently with minimal oversight and in teams is required.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
