Job Duties
- Produce general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for medical interpretation.
- Administer therapeutic radioactive isotopes.
- Explain procedures to patients and follow protocol guidelines.
- Inject radioactive isotopes, acquire and process images, review for accuracy, and guarantee image quality through equipment QA.
- Acquire general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images.
- Review images for accuracy and process for medical interpretation.
- Maintain daily workflow in the Nuclear Medicine and PET departments.
- Prepare patients for procedures (establish IV access, administer radioisotopes and adjunct medications).
- Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
- Perform quality assurance of nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree or Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine program.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT and/or NMTCB).
- Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License (must be obtained before start date).
- Advanced Certification (must be obtained within 12 months from hire date – RAD.AD.1.2).
- More than three years of Nuclear Medicine Experience.
Commensurate with education and experience.
