Overview

Summary of

Job Duties
  • Produce general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for medical interpretation.
  • Administer therapeutic radioactive isotopes.
  • Explain procedures to patients and follow protocol guidelines.
  • Inject radioactive isotopes, acquire and process images, review for accuracy, and guarantee image quality through equipment QA.
Responsibilities
  • Acquire general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images.
  • Review images for accuracy and process for medical interpretation.
  • Maintain daily workflow in the Nuclear Medicine and PET departments.
  • Prepare patients for procedures (establish IV access, administer radioisotopes and adjunct medications).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
  • Perform quality assurance of nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT and/or NMTCB).
  • Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License (must be obtained before start date).
  • Advanced Certification (must be obtained within 12 months from hire date – RAD.AD.1.2).
Preferred Qualifications
  • More than three years of Nuclear Medicine Experience.
Salary Information

Commensurate with education and experience.
