Overview

The Clinical Staff – Medical Ancillary Support position as a Radiation Therapist provides radiotherapy services under the direction of the Clinical Operations Director. The role performs and documents radiation therapy procedures, maintains quality control, and supports patient care.

- Perform radiation therapy procedures per physician orders and departmental guidelines, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain and submit patient EMR data, charges, schedules, and census.
- Communicate with patients and families about routine treatment details and care.
- Assess and recommend interventions for patient needs and treatment problems.
- Perform checks on EMR documentation and schedule daily treatments.
- Maintain room cleanliness, linens, and supplies, and notify personnel of needed attention.
- Execute daily equipment warm‑up, startup, and quality control checks, reporting malfunctions.
- Construct patient treatment aids, bolus material, positioning devices and verify accuracy.
- Clean and lubricate equipment, evaluate accessories and coordinate repairs.
- Support education of dosimetry and diagnostic students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in radiation therapy plus two years of healthcare experience, or a bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy.
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a radiation therapist with an accredited program of radiation therapy technology.
- Current licensure as a Radiation Therapist with the Arkansas Department of Health.
- Current BLS certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
Commensurate with education and experience.
Required Documents- License or certificate.
