* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (To be obtained during employment with departmental assistance).
* High School Diploma/GED
* Registry eligible or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License or must be obtained before the start date
* New grad or up to one (1) year radiology technologist experience
* Educates and prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice
* Assists the physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
* Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues
* Educates the patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure the patient's understanding and cooperation
* Assists with monitoring patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate
* Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
* Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary and keeps coworkers informed of status
* Responsible for daily work assignments.
* Serves in an active role in maintaining ACR accreditation and various JCAHO, FDA, and ODH inspections.
* Assists in interviewing, selection, and orientation/training of new staff members
* Ensures proper staff education requirements
* Actively involved in the discipline process when necessary, particularly verbal and written counseling
* Maintains knowledge and skills to perform duties
* Keeps rooms stocked and equipment cleaned according to department standards. Performs other duties as required or directed.
* Adheres to the time and attendance policy and discusses any variation from the schedule with the manager.
* Demonstrates willingness to assist in departmental changes to improve workflow and learn new functions and duties as needed to keep the department viable.
* Participates in the rotating on-call schedule.
* Other duties may be assigned to this position.
