Overview
JOB OBJECTIVE:
To develop, organize, and oversee various leisure and recreational activities and programs that promote wellness, social engagement, and quality of life for adults and senior citizens at various Senior Centers and Community Centers throughout the City of Little Rock.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of Bachelorb9s degree in Recreation Administration, Parks Administration, Leisure Sciences, Psychology, Gerontology, Human Services, Social Science, or related social service degree or a related area; two (2) years of experience in planning, organizing, and administering recreational, wellness, or leisure programming for adults and senior citizens, or a related area;
and one (1) year of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must possess Standard First Aid and Community CPR certifications, or other certifications which incorporate Standard First Aid and Infant, Child and Adult CPR, within six (6) months of employment, and maintain certifications for the duration of employment in this position.
