Overview:
This position is responsible for maintaining the ALM/Budgeting/Profitability software monthly; calculation of the required monthly provision for loan loss; and maintenance and enhancement of the organizational and product profitability programs. This position will serve as backup to the Financial Analyst, including assisting with cash management duties and the generation of monthly board and ALCO reports, as well as aiding the AVP/Finance in balance sheet risk/liquidity management, and in the preparation of the quarterly NCUA call report and annual budget.
Responsibilities
Perform daily cash management duties as needed.Calculate required allowance entry.Perform monthly ALM/Budgeting/Profitability software update.Run monthly allocations for organizational and product profitability; make recommendations to enhance the profitability programs as needed.Maintain CD software for investment in certificates and non-member deposits; aid in the determination of offering rates as liquidity needs arise, as well as make recommendations on certificate purchases as needed.Assist in the preparation of the quarterly 5300 call report as required by the NCUA. This report will be filed by the deadline as established by the NCUA.Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.Prepare required reports for monthly ALCO packet.Perform analysis and trends on key financial data.Perform analysis and trends on other data as requested.Prepare required financial reports for presentation to executive management/CEO/Board of Directors.Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.Assist in the indirect loan participation duties as needed.Provide the Supervisory Committee, certified public accountants, auditors, and federal examiners with information on department procedures and ensure that needed information is available for their use.Back up the AVP/Finance and Financial Analyst as required.Maintain professional working environment.Participate in community activities and organizations as a representative of the credit union and maintain current knowledge of the needs of the communities served.Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.Adhere to all credit union service standards.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
:
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
