Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Compliance

Our Client, who would like to remain confidential, is a leading force in the convenience store distribution space and is seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented Controller to step into a key leadership role. This privately held, innovation-focused company is redefining the standard of excellence in the distribution industry by delivering world-class service, modern systems, and rock-solid financial discipline.

This is a high-impact role for a financial leader who thrives on accuracy, strategic thinking, and building tight, reliable processes. You will own the books across two divisions, lead audits, keep compliance rock-solid, and deliver clear financial insights that leadership can trust. This role plays a critical part in supporting smart decisions and scaling two growing businesses with strong long-term growth plans.

• Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and day-to-day accounting operations
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements
• Serve as the primary contact for external audits and tax professionals
• Analyze financial transactions and identify trends or opportunities
• Improve and enforce internal financial procedures and policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience,
  ideally in distribution or wholesale
• Expertise in GAAP and financial compliance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel wizardry is a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills across departments

This role offers a highly competitive compensation range of $125,000 to $175,000
, based on qualifications, depth of experience, and a proven track record of success. The right candidate brings more than technical skill.
