Garver is seeking a Project Manager in our Fayetteville, Rogers, Conway, Fort Smith, or North Little Rock, AR offices to join our Arkansas Water team. The Project Manager will manage projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, and specifications. The Project Manager must be capable of working closely with clients, both internal and external, to ensure their expectations of services are exceeded.
The Project Manager will also work with other PMs in managing and mentoring internal staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products that adhere to Garver standardization.
The Project Manager Role will include design and managing a variety of projects related to:
- Water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
- Wastewater conveyance and collection, including lift stations, gravity systems, and force mains
- Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
- Water and Wastewater master planning
- Water and Wastewater treatment facilities
In addition to design, this role will include coordination with support disciplines, regulatory agencies, and quality assurance and control. Periodic travel will be required for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.
Routine functions as a Member of the AR Water Team include:
- Technical competence in water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering
- Managing scope, budget, and schedule for a team of project engineers, design engineers, and CAD Technicians
- Managing project budgets, scope of work, level of effort, and man-hour estimates
- Time management and ensuring work product quality
- Maintaining accurate project accounting
- Conducting written and oral project reporting
- Preparing and delivering Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
- Conducting construction engineering administration management for local projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, biological, or similar engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Experience with Civil3D, ArcGIS
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Arkansas or ability to gain reciprocity within 6 months
- 8+ years’ experience in the water/wastewater utilities market
Preferred
Skills:
- Passion for client service and the water industry
- Strong work ethic and communication skills
- Master’s Degree in civil, environmental, biological, or similar engineering
- Experience with technical presentations at conferences
