Carrier is looking to hire a Senior Service Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in our light applied equipment. Maintain effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members, perform highly complex diagnostic procedures and prepare reports for the senior leadership team. Communicate technical information to key stakeholders and keep key customers and field team members up‑to‑date on outstanding issues.
Key Responsibilities- Assist field personnel with complex problems on light applied equipment.
- Diagnose faults and identify solutions for the field teams.
- Provide technical support to the field on all light applied equipment.
- Answer gateway cases to support CCS on light applied equipment.
- Provide job site support on cases that require advanced troubleshooting.
- Respond to gateway calls in a quick and professional manner.
- Assist the field to deliver quick efficient service to the end users.
- Identify product issues and work to identify solutions.
- Maintain effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate.
- Maintain frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy.
- Act as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter.
- Perform highly complex diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement.
- Communicate technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Ensure that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry
- 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Clean and valid driver’s license
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or building HVAC.
- Field experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of HVAC equipment.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong problem solving, planning and management skills.
- Ability to read and understand scope of work.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
- A true team player who has the customer’s best interests first and foremost
