This role offers competitive base pay ranging from $69,500.00 to $95,500.00 per year.
OverviewAt Jacobs, we strive to innovate across sectors, building smart environments that transform lives. The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will work on cutting‑edge industrial and commercial facilities, enabling our clients’ critical business processes.
Responsibilities- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Manage project schedules and technical quality for challenging engineering tasks.
- Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world‑class control systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience with instrumentation and control.
- Knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications.
- Experience working with data centers.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Forward‑thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and ability to contribute innovative ideas.
- Quick learner and driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Effective collaboration across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Passion for buildings and construction.
