Full-Time Dyslexia Therapist (Graduate-Level)

Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract
Pay Structure: $35 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience, training, and certification status.
Required Qualifications:- Master’s degree completed or currently in progress
- Strong interest in dyslexia and structured literacy intervention
- Comfort working with children and families from a variety of schooling models, with respect for differing educational choices and structures
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a nonprofit team
- Strong communication skills and a warm, professional presence with children and families
- Coursework or training in dyslexia or structured literacy
- Experience working with struggling readers or students with learning differences
- Paid training beginning June 8 in Fayetteville
- Optional paid work opportunities during summer months

Reading Services of Arkansas is seeking a full-time Dyslexia Therapist (Master’s degree completed or in progress) to join our nonprofit team on a 10-month contract, based in Little Rock. This role is ideal for a graduate-level professional who is committed to developing deep expertise in dyslexia intervention within a supportive, training-rich environment.
Our therapists serve children from a wide range of educational settings, including homeschool, public, private, charter, and microschool environments. Candidates must feel comfortable and confident working across schooling models and partnering with families whose educational paths may differ from traditional systems. This flexibility reflects our commitment to expanding high-quality dyslexia therapy to all children, regardless of how or where they attend school.
The selected candidate will begin paid, in-person training on June 8 in Fayetteville. Following training, the therapist will serve students primarily in the Little Rock area. Additional optional paid hours may be available during the summer months based on program needs and therapist interest.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver individualized and small-group dyslexia intervention using structured literacy approaches
- Implement evidence-based programs with fidelity
- Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction
Maintain accurate documentation and session notes - Communicate professionally with families and collaborate as appropriate
- Provide dyslexia intervention to students across diverse educational settings, including homeschool, public, private, charter, and microschool environments
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team collaboration
- Uphold the mission, values, and ethical standards of Reading Services of Arkansas
Reading Services of Arkansas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to expanding access to evidence-based reading intervention and dyslexia therapy for children across Arkansas. We are committed to serving children who have historically lacked access to high-quality intervention, including children who have experienced foster care and students in under-resourced communities.
