Early Childhood Development Specialist; Little Rock

Overview

We are looking for an Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) to join our Kids First team in Little Rock, AR. Kids First is a dynamic and growing organization that enables high-quality care and developmental intervention for young children. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, knowledgeable about early childhood development, and committed to providing individualized care for young children with special healthcare needs.

• Ensures quality of individualized developmental services provided at Kids First.
• Supports the academic mission of the Kids First program.
• Demonstrates professionalism and ongoing development of skills and job-related interest and concern.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree plus at least one of the following:
  1) Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education Certificate,
  2) A Child Development Associate Certificate,
  3) Birth to Pre-K Credential with documentation of 12 hours of experience working with children with special needs and 12 hours of coursework in related areas plus six (6) months documented experience working with children.

• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to administer standardized developmental testing instruments.
• Ability to build relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones in the birth-five population.
