Summary of

Job Duties:

The graduate students work 20 hours per week. Regular and reliable attendance working within the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology during normal business hours is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. These students assist with clerical duties and research.

They may assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and or

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Regular admission to a graduate degree program;
  • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Job Duties:

Graduate Assistant Students in the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology work in various capacities including:

  • Clerical work;
  • Assisting faculty with research;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on a deadline;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
