Job Duties:

** Tenure track, 9-month Assistant Professor appointment in the RN program. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.##

* Qualifications:

**** Required Education and/or

Experience:

*** Masters in Nursing;
* Recent clinical and teaching experience in a successful accredited nursing program;
* Current unencumbered AR or multi-compact states RN licensure is required.
** Preferred Education and/or

Experience:

*** Doctoral degree in nursing or related field or current enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred;
* Teaching experience and recent experience in nursing practice or nursing education in the area(s) of program need is preferred.

* Job Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Teach, advise, mentor and evaluate students.
* Participate in service to the university, community and profession.
* Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activities.
* Conduct clinical and classroom experiences designed to meet student and program learning outcomes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*** Proficient in Microsoft office program including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Power Point.
* Ability to create, maintain, and track detailed data bases.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to interact effectively and professionally with student, staff, faculty, and outside agencies.
* Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
* Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
* Ability to drive and operate a vehicle.
* Ability to travel within the state.
