General Surgeon Physician – Monticello
Drew Memorial Hospital, soon to be an affiliate of Baptist Health in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon.
Hospital size: 60 beds, Level 4 trauma center. In 2018 a $32 million expansion added a new Surgery Center, Labor & Delivery/Nursery, Specialty Clinic, four state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms and a Velys robot for knee replacements.
Work EnvironmentAnnual surgical volume: 1,900 cases, 500 of which are general surgery in 2023. Endoscopic and GI cases are readily available. Anesthesia call is 24/7. Emergency department visits in 2022 totaled 9,500.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary plus production bonus and quality incentive bonus. Benefits include healthcare, malpractice protection, disability coverage and retirement plans.
Qualifications- Board‑eligible or board‑certified general surgeon (BE/BC).
