Asphalt Technician

We are currently accepting applications for an Asphalt Technician wanting to advance their career. The ideal candidate will be able to use 5-gallon buckets and shovels to gather materials for testing and be well experienced working safely under hazardous conditions.

This is a safety sensitive position. MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD WITH ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD & BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS & OUT OF TOWN AS NEEDED.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner. Obeys safety guidelines when on construction plant sites.

* Perform Lab duties including preparing and running lab formulation trials, testing and data logging.

* Perform and document quality control tests in accordance with established local (City and State) and national standards.

* Conduct quality control tests without supervision and within precision standards established by industry standards both at the Plants and in the field.

* Maintain a logbook of all testing conducted at the lab, plant and on-site.

Position Requirements :

* Proficient in math, reading and writing skills.

* Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.

* Being mechanically inclined is very helpful.

* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to maintain composure in situations and act in a professional manner.

* Proficient with computers and technology.

* Due to having to work in the field, the minimum age is 21 years old to be able to be covered by Company automobile insurance and have a good driving record.

* Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes.

Working Conditions/

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.

* Ability to tolerate working outdoors and in all environmental temperatures and weather.

* Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk on uneven terrain.

* Ability to work various hours including Saturday and overtime.

* Being prompt is a HIGH PRIORITY.

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Compensation:

* From $15.75 per hour.
