Sr. Business Systems Analyst
Position at St. George Tanaq Corporation – a fully remote, full‑time temporary assignment (January – March 2026). Candidates must reside in the United States.
OverviewTanaq Management Services (TMS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and IT solutions to federal agencies in health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. TMS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) dedicated to serving federal customers while giving back to the Tanaq community.
About the RoleThe Sr. Business Systems Analyst leads enterprise‑level analysis to strengthen workforce productivity and collaboration ecosystems, including SharePoint and related platforms. The analyst serves as a strategic liaison among senior stakeholders, translates complex business requirements into actionable specifications, guides development of practical solutions, and may mentor other analysts.
Responsibilities- Conduct analysis with project stakeholders, plan execution of business analysis tasks, and continuously improve practices.
- Identify and define business needs, develop business cases, and determine solution scope.
- Lead advanced analysis in a significant segment of the organization, ensuring measurable impact on effectiveness.
- Determine requirements using workshops, interviews, document analysis, and other techniques.
- Define strategies, validate and justify business needs, and oversee solution implementation.
- Evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, and abstract details into high‑level understanding.
- Elaborate requirements to sufficient detail, validate against business needs, and verify quality of other analysts’ work.
- Document business processes using industry standards (use cases, scenarios, flow charts).
- Assess solutions against strategic goals, define acceptance criteria, identify defects, and develop corrective actions.
- Ensure stakeholders share a clear understanding of requirements, facilitate conflict resolution, and secure formal approval.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to balance usability and performance.
- Act as liaison to project managers and other team members throughout all phases.
- Assist in project scoping and planning with project managers.
- Promote the value of business analysis to the project community.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Advanced experience with SDLC, Agile, ITIL, Six Sigma, and other quality frameworks.
- Knowledge of project management practices.
- Ability to deliver presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Fact‑finding and data collection proficiency.
- Business process and data modeling experience.
- Leadership and facilitation of meetings and groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate client informational needs.
- Broad IT domain expertise, especially applications architecture.
- Rapid acquisition of domain expertise.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Strategic planning and business case development experience.
- Applications design experience.
- Ability to consume large amounts of information.
- Capable of passing required federal background screening and maintaining both U.S. clearances.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's preferred. - Accredited degrees above the minimum requirement may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may need to lift 25 pounds regularly.
