Summary of

Job Duties

The Work-Study/Student Worker is responsible for basic clerical tasks in a state agency or institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. Typical duties include answering the phone, greeting and directing students, sorting/fileting documents, making copies, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Applied and awarded financial aid
  • Eligible for a work-study award

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical duties such as answering the phone, greeting, and directing students
  • Sort/file documents and making copies
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Adequate computer skills
  • Adequate typing skills
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Knowledge of basic grammar
  • Knowledge of computers & software applications (preferably MS Word, Excel and Google Drive)
  • Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Salary Information: $11.00/hour
