Overview

Overview The Frozen Foods Department Manager plays a key role in keeping our frozen department running smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This leader ensures the department delivers strong sales and gross profit while creating a positive experience for both guests and team members. From inventory and labor management to merchandising and food safety, you’ll be the go-to expert making sure everything stays fresh, organized, and on point.

In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of the Frozen Foods department, using available resources wisely and supporting your team every step of the way. You’ll maintain accurate records, manage inventory and shrink, control expenses, and ensure product freshness through proper rotation and removal of out-of-date items. You’ll also lend a hand on the front end as needed by running a register, bagging, or assisting guests with carry-outs, because at Coborn’s, teamwork makes the dream work.

You’ll be responsible for directing and coordinating all aspects of the department, including ordering, receiving, pricing, merchandising, and maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized work, display, and storage areas. Food safety and workplace safety programs are a top priority, and you’ll ensure standards are consistently met.

As a leader, you’ll guide your team by assigning workloads, providing coaching and training, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a supportive, respectful work environment. Your ability to motivate others, build strong relationships, and keep things running smoothly will help ensure the Frozen Foods department continues to thrive.
