Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Under general supervision, the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with patients, patients’ family, and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care.
  • The RN provides direct fare and/or supervises nursing care of non‑licensed nursing staff.
  • The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice.
  • RN's are responsible for providing care appropriate to the age‑specific (infant, adolescent, and adult patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population.
  • In addition to RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments, supervises and directs the staff and unit activitiesứa.
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
  • Couplet Care experience needed.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider card.
  • If hired after 1/1/21, NRP required within 3 months of hire or transfer chwarae.
  • STABLE within 18 months of hire, renewal not required.
  • Must have recent Mom Baby experience in a hospital setting.
