Position: P/T Sr. Registered Behavior Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team and work with the client in-home. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This role is essential in providing support to clients in achieving their behavioral goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Assist clients in developing skills related to daily living activities (ADLs) and behavior management.
  • Collect and document data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide support to children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
  • Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote learning and socialization.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce positive behaviors and strategies at home.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to medical terminology standards in documentation.
Experience
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Experience in special education settings or similar environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation practices and terminology is beneficial.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is essential.
