Overview

Moravian Manor Communities is a premier not-for-profit senior living center that has been serving older adults for 50 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Cook who is looking for a rewarding career to join our Culinary Services team! This is a full-time opportunity, 32-hours per week and offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a set schedule—weekdays 11:00am to 7:30pm.
Every other weekend (6:30am to 3:00pm) and every other holiday is required. The Cook will be working at our Founders Campus in Lititz, PA

• Prepare and serve meals for residents and guests.
• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and / or as specified on resident check to ensure consistency of product to the residents.
• Follow recipes, menu notes and production sheets accurately.
• Prepare food in proper amount based on number of servings to be served.
• Assist other cooks with prep and special functions.
• Document finished cooking temperatures and temperatures of foods before leaving the kitchen.
• Properly clean and sanitize work stations and tables.

• 1-3 years of culinary experience
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Knowledge of all areas of production including soups, sauces, entrees, sides, and ability to produce some desserts.
• Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
• Knowledge of all cooking equipment including proper use and care/cleaning/sanitizing of equipment and production areas
• Knowledge of producing food items for specialized diets a plus.
• Serv Safe certification preferred

Applicants selected for an interview will be expected to complete a cooking demo.
