Supplier Quality Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance/Control
• Over 7 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Certifications such as ASQ preferred; knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 (Class
  3) is a plus
• Experience working with DOD programs or fulfilling Military standards
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to utilize ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and manufacturing measurement tools
• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed

• Assess and approve new and existing suppliers based on strict quality and ethical standards
• Collaborate with procurement to optimize the supplier base and strengthen relationships
• Develop, implement, and improve supplier quality processes and procedures
• Oversee supplier audits, source inspections, and monitor quality performance metrics
• Lead and cultivate a Certified Supplier Program to uphold excellence standards
• Support quality teams by analyzing supplier performance reports and addressing nonconformances
• Manage supplier corrective actions and foster a culture of zero defects
• Review first article inspection reports and develop supplier training around quality standards
• Liaise with customer and government quality representatives to resolve supplier quality issues
• Contribute to bidding activities and proposals as assigned
