Position Summary:
d&b audiotechnik Corporation is seeking a detail‑oriented, collaborative, and organized Project Support Specialist to assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the Project Support department at d&b audiotechnik Corporation’s Lititz, PA office. This is an on‑site position, with travel to project sites, trade shows, and other events/locations as needed. This individual will report to the Project Support Manager and assist the Business Development, Sales, and Education/Application Support (EAS) departments with system design support, technical documentation, project management, and on‑site product demonstrations.
The support of d&b dealers and key end‑users, consultants, and architects is also a key element of the position, providing technical input regarding new or retrofit systems and suggesting design and technical alternatives to realize project objectives.
- Supports the electroacoustic design and optimization of complete d&b systems, including loudspeaker deployment strategy, performance modeling, signal flow architecture, and system integration within architectural environments.
- Makes full use of the Lititz, PA demo facilities, Soundscape Immersive Creative Space (ICS), and the Rock Lititz campus environment to refine system designs and support industry‑facing demonstrations.
- Convert architectural drawings (Sketch Up, Vectorworks, CAD, Revit) into d&b Array Calc venues.
- Produce system drawings, technical documentation, and specifications.
- Assist with audio network design (Dante, Milan, AES
67) and signal architecture. - Provide project management support, documentation, and change‑order updates.
- Coordinate cross‑departmentally to ensure smooth workflows.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and listening sessions on‑site and off‑site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of d&b systems and audio technologies;
Soundscape experience preferred. - Ability to plan and execute high‑quality product demos tailored to customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse technical audiences.
- Proficiency with audio/acoustic and BIM tools (EASE, Sketch Up, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Revit).
- Ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, and bid documents.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and customer‑service skills.
- A bachelor’s Degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Electroacoustics, Music Technology, or related field preferred. Architectural or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds will also be considered.
- Experience with advanced audio networking protocols including Dante, Milan, and AES
67. - 3+ years of experience in A/V engineering.
- Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers, and eyesight to read detailed documents and drawings.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Adequate hearing for normal conversations, internet meetings, and audio systems.
- Valid and current driver’s license required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
This is a full‑time, Exempt position. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as domestic and international travel, may be required as job duties demand.
