Overview

We’re looking for a Staff EHS Specialist to play a critical role in driving environmental, health, and safety excellence at a high-profile manufacturing site. This role partners closely with site leadership and frontline teams to identify risks, strengthen compliance, and embed a proactive, ownership-driven safety culture.

- Ensure EHS program compliance with internal standards and state/federal regulations
- Identify program gaps and lead corrective action plans to closure
- Partner with site leaders to strengthen EHS performance, engagement, and accountability
- Drive continuous improvement of the EHS Management System
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and workplace hazard investigations
- Deliver EHS training and mentoring to build site-wide safety capability
- Support and enhance safety management systems across manufacturing operations
- 6+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in EHS roles
- Proven experience leading safety programs in an occupational or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal EHS regulations
- Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards
- Influential communicator who builds trust through cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically
- Degree in science, engineering, or another technical field
- Experience in FDA / GMP-regulated environments
- Manufacturing background
- Hands-on experience with:
- Machine safety & ergonomics
- Respiratory protection & PPE
- Warehouse safety & emergency response
- Contractor safety & contractor management
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or PE
💰
Base salary: $110,500 – $156,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
