Food Stylist

Base pay range

$31.25/hr - $34.62/hr

You will collaborate with other team members to inspire each other’s creativity while serving the purchasing needs of food service professionals. The styling team contributes to creating meaningful images and videos that adhere to our brand standards through thoughtful set and food styling.

• Collaborate, communicate and coordinate with food suppliers/grocers, other stylists, producers, videographers, photographers, writers, and assistants on and off set.
• Follow a weekly production schedule.
• Stay informed of culinary trends to inspire, pitch and contribute ideas for engaging content and help shape early‑stage concepts with culinary insight.
• Conduct culinary research and review written content for accuracy; apply hands‑on skills to prep, plate and style food and drinks.
• Appear on‑camera as needed as talent for tutorials, product features, and brand storytelling.
• Embrace change, show agility, and be comfortable with ambiguity and working at a fast pace.
• Maintain cleanliness, organize, and have a strong awareness of the studio kitchen inventory.

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

• Can provide a diverse portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in food styling with a variety of foods.
• Have 5+ years’ experience as a food stylist, chef, or similar role working in a culinary environment.
• Associate, BS or BA culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional capacity in lieu of a degree.

This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

• Culinary skills including but not limited to knife skills, broiling, roasting, grilling, baking, searing, sautéing, pan‑frying, stir‑frying and deep‑fat frying.
• Experience developing recipes, menu items or culinary programs.
• Familiar with e‑commerce product photography, digital and social content formats (Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube, etc.)
• Experience as on‑camera talent for food‑related content is a plus.
• Serv Safe certification is preferred but not required.

• Work full‑time hours for this in‑studio position.
• Stand, squat, reach and lift to 50lbs.
• Culinary skills and repetitive movements including but not limited to stirring, whisking, chopping and other knife skills, broiling, roasting, grilling, baking, searing, sautéing, pan‑frying, stir‑frying and deep‑fat frying.
• Commercial kitchen setting that includes a ventilation system, commercial dishwasher and professional equipment.
• Commercial photo/video studio setting with low lighting and flashing strobe lights.
• Low light photo and video studio environments.
• Encounter exposure to flashing lights from strobes, standard commercial kitchen cleaners, and loud noises (e.g., vacuum, commercial kitchen hood).
