PositionPurpose
We are looking for a high‑performing and motivated individual to join our Global Finance Team. The ideal candidate would be a confident, high‑energy, analytical and articulate accounting professional who is looking to find themselves at the intersection of the technical accounting world and live entertainment industry. In this new role, you will support strategic decision‑making by serving as a subject‑matter expert on complex accounting topics and transactions and support organizational efforts to formalize and document accounting policies.
In this role you will be responsible for researching technical accounting topics, accounting for complex business transactions (including purchase accounting), supporting internal and external financial reporting and consolidation, and helping to manage the external audit process. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, M&A & Technical Accounting, and partner with others in the Global Finance Team and across the wider organization to drive awareness of the accounting implications of new transactions, business initiatives, and system changes.
The role will be based in our Lititz, PA headquarters, with the ability for hybrid work, based on guidance from your People Leader.
- Support efforts to build, maintain, and update a library of internal accounting policies and technical accounting memos.
- Perform complete and accurate accounting for items such as purchase accounting, stock compensation, revenue recognition, goodwill, and other technical accounting matters and transactions.
- Support US GAAP implementation and integration for new M&A.
- Perform technical accounting research and provide perspective on the application of US GAAP to complex business transactions and support strategic financial decision making.
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation efforts, including impact assessments and cross‑functional coordination.
- Articulate issues and recommendations in a concise manner to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders to enable better decision‑making.
- Monitor compliance with organizational accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in the monthly close process through accurate preparation and recording of accounting entries in our ERP system.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes including group consolidation, annual US GAAP group financial statements, local statutory audits, and other ad‑hoc internal and external financial reporting needs.
- Support the VP, Controller in managing the external audit process.
- Other ad‑hoc responsibilities may be assigned to meet the needs of the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of relevant technical accounting experience in industry or with a top‑tier accounting or advisory firm (Big 4 preferred).
- Licensed CPA (preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in application of US GAAP, specifically ASC 805 and ASC 606.
- Excellent professional writing skills.
- Ability to research technical accounting matters and formulate policies and memoranda in a concise and organized manner.
- Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi‑task, prioritize and deliver in a fast‑paced private equity‑backed environment.
