TITLE: Materials Manager

LOCATION: Onsite in Lithonia, GA

COMPENSATION: $87,342.44 - $ plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring a Materials Manager to provide day-to-day guidance and hands-on execution for Materials Planning, Production Scheduling, and At Risk Inventory Management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on guidance and training to the Material Planners to read, analyze, and execute MRP planned orders and action messages.
  • Actively participate in periodical planning and inventory parameter revisions, updates, and maintenance in the ERP for Purchased items (e.g., coverage groups, safety stocks).
  • Ensure daily execution on RM availability to support the production schedule; communicate RM issues that may impact the production schedule or sales orders; follow up on At Risk Inventory.
  • Monitor and analyze processes and data to drive root-cause countermeasures/actions (RM hold list).
  • Provide guidance to Material Planners to minimize raw material shortages by evaluating alternatives.
  • Provide support to customer demand urgencies and changes in demand.
  • Provide backup in the areas of production scheduling, materials planning, and At Risk Inventory Management.
  • Develop and review personal action goals, supervise, and support Material Planners.
  • Support the S&OP+ process with a focus on RM availability, potential stock-out risks and At Risk inventory.
  • Periodically review at-risk/slow-moving inventory to identify items that may expire before use and suggest disposition.
  • Serve as the main contact for Formula Change Requests (FCR) at the Lithonia factory.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or minimum 8 years of relevant Supply Chain / Materials Management experience.
  • Expertise with SAP, Oracle, DAX, or a formal ERP system.
  • 5-7 years of Materials Planning & Scheduling in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Lithonia, GA 4-5 days per week.
  • Ability and willingness to cover team absences as needed.

FOR HYBRID OR REMOTE ROLES:
Griffith Foods embraces Work Flex, allowing employees to work remotely, with options like compressed work weeks and flex time. Most IT professionals come into the office once a week or less. Periodic onsite meetings may occur at our Lombard or Alsip (IL) locations.

IN OFFICE ROLES:
This role is affiliated to the Lithonia, GA location, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to that location and will be required to come onsite. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
