Work Based Learning Program Data Center Operations Technician
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. We’re looking for talented people to join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and more to deliver safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, and troubleshoot network issues.
- Respond to operational incidents that impact service availability and elevate to senior technicians or management as needed.
- Serve as a contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change‑management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process‑improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
- Successfully complete the 12‑month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Operate safely in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- Tolerate work in non‑climate‑controlled environments with temperature fluctuations.
- Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base and engage other teams when needed to drive resolution.

- work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays; travel within the regional work area is required.
- have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license for regional travel.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordinating with managers.
- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
USA, GA, Lithia Springs – $23.00 – $40.00 USD hourly.
